How can I edit the texts on the pages of my site?
How current the texts on your website are can change from time to time. Maybe there is something customers need to know, opening hours are changing, or there are new colleagues or products? Maybe you want to wish them a happy Christmas or a good new year.
Those are just a few reasons why you might want to edit the texts on the website yourself. Depending on the part you want to change, you can do it very easily through the CMS.
- Open GoFlo and log in.
- In the "Pagina's" overview, look for the page whose texts you want to change
- Click the page title marked in red; a new tab takes you to the page
Texts with a grey dotted line around them can be edited directly.
- Click inside the box outlined in grey
- Change the text
- To save the texts, click the floppy disk at the top left (next to the GoFlo logo). You may also find editing tools there to add links, images, tables or other formatting to the text.
Once you have reviewed your text you can log out straight away (top right) and view the site the way visitors see it.
My text has no dotted line?
Some texts cannot be changed with the "editor" tool described above. That is probably because the part you want to change belongs to a module built specially for your site. You can find the various modules of your website on the right-hand side of the CMS. A good rule of thumb is: "Is there a module for this?" For example:
| Changing the description of a product | That belongs to the Webshop module |
| Adding or removing staff | That belongs to the Team module |
| Changing the content of a news item | That belongs to the News or Blog module |
